Buntin Out-of-Home Media Wins Stevie Award for 2007 Best Outdoor Advertising Campaign
August 01, 2007Nashville, Tenn. (August 1, 2007) – Buntin Out-of-Home Media’s latest outdoor advertising effort for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has been honored with a 2007 Stevie Award for the Best Outdoor Advertising Campaign. The award was presented recently during the American Business Awards (ABA) in New York City.
For Cracker Barrel, one of the country’s top outdoor advertisers with over 1,500 billboards, Buntin created the “Comin’ right up” campaign – utilizing colorful photography to showcase guest favorites like pancakes, biscuits, fresh vegetables, nostalgic candies and more in reflecting the brand’s nostalgic country heritage.
The campaign marked the first major change to Cracker Barrel’s outdoor advertising creative strategy in nearly six years. Buntin Out-of-Home Media President Howard Greiner said the effort set – and met – lofty expectations. “Our first goal was to translate the brand’s unique experience and comfortable home-away-from home image into a compelling visual invitation for motorists traveling the interstates along which the stores are located,” Greiner notes. “Second was to produce and post the campaign across Cracker Barrel’s entire outdoor board portfolio in as close to 90 days as possible.”
Referred to as “The Academy Awards of Business,” the ABAs honor outstanding work that connects with marketers’ core audiences. More than 2,000 businesses and organizations submitted entries across a variety of categories this year.
